An opportunity to help people to know that they are not forgotten by talking,
praying, reading scripture, participating in informal Bible studies and worship
services and meeting needs with individuals in nursing homes and assisted
living facilities. We are blessed with and always in need of faithful people
who will minister in area nursing homes and assisted living facilities as who
will talk with, listen to, pray with, read the Bible and show Jesus' love to
residents and their families one-on-one or in informal worship services and
Bible studies.
Dear Friend:
"You shall rise before the gray headed and honor the presence of an old man,
and fear your God: I am the Lord" - Leviticus 19:32
"Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit
orphans and widows in their trouble." - James 1:27
It is very interesting that in these verses two ways of living out "fear your
God" and "pure and undefiled religion before God†are to "honor the presence
of an old man" and "visit orphans and widows in their trouble". It is
obviously very important that we do these two things.
I would be so excited and delighted if you would serve in nursing home ministry.
We really do need your help very, very much to keep this much needed ministry
going. The vision is to expand and increase this ministry. This ministry is
simply and humble yet powerful. The only ability that is required is availability.
